In his effort to use everything but the oink, our butcher’s been making his own sausage for some time now using all-natural casings and fat trimmed while he is cutting pork down. He’s usually got sweet and hot italian sausage in the butcher case and occasionally has time to make chicken too (this summer he even made chicken bbq sausage). Perfect if your stuffing recipe includes sausage!
And speaking of stuffing, you should be buying extra bread now to avoid Thanksgiving Day shortage and to make sure it is nice and stale!
