May Daze

It’s time to celebrate the new month, and the first week is packed with holidays that are better with great food. May 2-3 is the Kentucky Derby, and to make Juleps, we’ve got plenty of mint, limes and an array of sugars to go with the Bourbons sold next door. Take home a bag of India Tree Caster Sugar, or add a NY twist with Crown Maple Maple Sugar.

If you’ve got some limes left over, save them for Monday, Cinco de Mayo! They’ll be the perfect accent on a Tres Agaves Margarita, an organic blend of agave and lime juice, easy to stir up with your favorite Tequila. We’ve got plenty of edibles to soak up all those cocktails, too. Local Tortilleria Nixtamal makes some of the softest corn tortillas, and can be topped off with any of our spring veggies, Cotija or Queso Fresco, and an array of salsas from Gustavo’s and La Fundidora. Don’t forget the Black Bean Spread from La Esquina, or make your own with beans from¬†Cayuga Pure Organics. A dollop of Natural by Nature Sour Cream and you’re good to go!
