Pares Balta Rose Has Arrived!

“This, my friends, is a good deal.”  The words used to describe Pares Balta Ros de Pacs 2010, the wine chosen as ‘Best of Tasting’ and ‘Best Value’ in the NY Times round up of Spanish rosés last week, rang in our ears.  We said it first!  Though Greene Grape customers knew the Pares Balta as ‘Ronsard’ Rosé, a private label (same wine, different label) we brought in last year.

Even though we got our hands on (& love) the #2 rose in the Times’s round-up, Enanzo Garnacha Rosé 2010 ($11), we were undaunted in our pursuit of the Pares Balta Rosé, described by the Times as “snappy and refreshing with an aroma of strawberries and stony mineral flavors” and “an exceptionally good deal with a touch of residual sugar, but so well balanced by the acidity that the overall effect is greatly refreshing.”  We’re happy to report persistence paid off and we are able to offer you the last of the 2010 vintage of this celebrated wine.  Go ahead and stock up.  When life gives you an excess of rosé, you can always make Rosé Sangria.

Pares Balta Ros de Pacs 2010 $12.50, $10.62 on 12 bottles or more.  Our 15% case discount applies to full or mixed cases.  To reserve yours, call (718) 797-9463.
