Tomorrow from 2-5 pm stop by Provisions, the food store, to take a taste of Brooklyn Fudge. Amanda Jones, creator of Brooklyn Fudge, will be bringing us tastes of “Double Dutch”, her new all-natural, dairy free, kosher fudges. They come in flavors from wasabi, raspberry, orange, cinnamon, and just plain chocolate as well as the traditional favorite dark pecan.

Amanda landed here from Virginia with a passion for sweets and a fudge recipe from her Aunt Mae. Inspired by the diversity of Brooklyn and how her newfound borough seemed to mix old with new, she started playing with her Aunt’s fudge recipe, adding unusual flavors. It seemed only fitting that the new product would bear the name of the borough that was her inspiration. The “Double Dutch” line is her newest and came about after she made connections with some of our other foodtrepreneurs at an event we sponsored last year. Those contacts led her to a kosher commercial kitchen and voila!
